Starting February 25th you could earn a double reward of up to $1000! By helping Lamar County Crime Stoppers and local law enforcement solve a string of copper thefts.
It is just about a daily occurrence that theft of copper is a part of news reports. These thefts affect large industry, individuals and even places of worship. Lamar County Crime Stoppers is currently offering to double the reward up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest of anyone responsible for thefts of copper in Lamar County.

| | 6/20/2007 - Home Invasion/ Burglary | You could earn a reward of up to $1000 by helping Lamar County Crime Stoppers and Paris Police solve Home Invasion/ Burglary that occurred in the 2300 block of Pine Bluff Street on Friday June 15th.
The female resident was home during the time the suspect entered the home without consent. After making entry, the suspect forced the resident to the floor. While holding her, she felt a sharp object to her throat that left marks. During this time the suspect evidently became frustrated, let her go, and walked out of the house with no further assault of the victim.
The suspect is described as an African American male about 5`10" tall and 230 lbs. He was described at the time to be wearing a light blue long sleeved work shirt, blue pants, black gloves and brown boots. He was also described to be clean shaven, very dark complected, and was in good physical condition.
