12/1/2008 - Local Burgalry

Sometime during night or early morning of Thursday October 9th, unknown persons gained entry into Bodacious BBQ. Employees came in that morning and found an office door had been forced open and a large sum of money had been removed.

 

Upon further inspection, it was found that a rear window to the restaurant had been breached; giving suspects access to the rest of the building.

 

Police have few leads and are asking for your help!


11/17/2008 - Car Theft in Lamar County

Sometime during the night on Saturday September 4th, 2008, Deputies of the Lamar County Sherriff’s Office were called to a suspicious vehicle just off of CR 36850. Upon arrival, deputies found an SUV type vehicle that had been completely burned.

 

During the investigation, Deputies contacted the owners who advised they had just had the vehicle, which was a black 2003 Chevy Tahoe, up for sale at the corner of CR 33900 and 271 north.

 

Police have few leads and are asking for your help in identifying persons responsible for this, or any other felony crime. 


11/10/2008 - Robbery at Da Water Pipe in Paris

At almost 8:30 on the evening of October 25th, 2008, two men armed with a gun enter DA Waterpipe Store located in the 1000 block of Pine Bluff Street in Paris and demanded money from the register.


According the clerk, one suspect was described as about 6 feet tall with a slender build, wearing dark clothes, a red dew rag on his head, and a blue bandana over his face. The other was described as a bit shorter than the other, wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt with a white logo on the front, with the hood pulled over his head.

Police have few leads and are asking that anyone with information please contact Crime Stoppers.


11/3/2008 - Market Square Attempted Robbery

Investigators from Paris Police Department need your help in solving a recent robbery that occurred at The Market Square in Downtown Paris.

 

Just after midnight on October 12th, 2008, an elderly man who was providing security at Market Square for the night was approached by two unknown white males while sitting in his vehicle. It was reported that after the two males approached him, they then pulled him out of his vehicle and demanded money. After the man did not produce the money, the two males began assaulting him forcing him to the ground. After the man was on the ground, they started kicking him, causing severe injury to his head and face.

 

Police have few leads and are asking for your help in solving this violent crime.


10/27/2008 - Travis Middle School Burglary

Investigators from Paris Police Department need your help in solving a recent Burglary that occurred at local middle school in Paris.


Sometime during the night on Wednesday August 27, 2008, unknown persons broke into the Travis Middle School located in the 3100 block Graham Street in Paris. Once inside, persons ransacked several class rooms, and removed several laptop computers and other audio/ video equipment worth several thousand dollars.


Police have few leads and are asking for your help in identifying persons responsible.
